The Observatory for Children’s Education and Health (OPES) has a multitude of projects on various topics under the theme of education and children’s mental health. Here are some of our projects:
This project, under the direction of Dr. Sylvana Côté, aims to document the experiences of families and children in their living environments, the impact of the historical upheavals we are experiencing and the effectiveness of the measures we are putting in place to foster the resilience of our children and to identify the populations most in need of services.

This project, under the direction of Dr. Simon Larose, aims to co-construct and evaluate a tutoring program in the area of reading and writing at the primary level.

This project, under the direction of Dr. Sylvana Côté, aims to evaluate the effect of a course aimed at improving the mental health of future parents offered with telephone support compared to the same course offered without telephone follow-up.

📣 CHRM-OPES Symposium: April 14, 2023 | Education and intergenerational mobility
The Human Capital Research Group will hold its sixth symposium in collaboration with the OPES on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the UQAM.
The theme of the conference will be intergenerational mobility and its link with education.
The colloquium is open not only to academic researchers, but also to policy leaders and decision-makers as well as officials from government ministries and agencies with an interest in the topic.
Registration (including lunch) is free but mandatory.
